A short history of Wegobuy
Wegobuy's story is tied to Superbuy's. Around 2019, Superbuy announced it would no longer allow certain restricted items to be ordered or shipped. A new site, wegobuy.com, appeared at the same time and became the recommended alternative in spreadsheet communities. Guides from the time noted that the two were officially different companies: there was no direct balance transfer, and buyers had to withdraw from Superbuy and deposit at Wegobuy. Community tools later described them as sharing warehouse infrastructure and QC staff.

Reusing an old Wegobuy spreadsheet

What the 2019 split teaches about restricted items
Wegobuy existed because Superbuy decided to stop handling certain items. That is a reminder that every agent has a restricted-items list, and lists change. Common restrictions include batteries, liquids, powders, magnets and some branded goods, and individual shipping lines often have their own stricter rules. An item that one agent buys without question may be refused by another at purchase, held at QC or blocked from certain lines.
Before buying, check the agent's restricted-items page and the rules of the line you plan to use. If an item is refused after you've paid for it, the agent will usually offer a refund to your balance, but you lose time and sometimes domestic shipping. None of this is a reason to look for workarounds; customs rules apply regardless of which agent ships the parcel.

The pattern behind Wegobuy, Pandabuy and the 2026 closures
Wegobuy is one of five big agents to close or go offline in the past few years, along with Pandabuy in 2024 and CNFans, ACBuy and AllChinaBuy in 2026. Each time, the buyers who lost least were the ones who paid per order, kept balances low and shipped within weeks. Each time, spreadsheets survived because the finds were never really tied to the agent. Both lessons still apply.
